雪竇重顯

Northern Sòng Yúnmén-school Chán master, abbot of Xuědòu-shān 雪竇山 (Míngzhōu 明州, modern Zhèjiāng) for over thirty years. Native of Suìzhōu 遂州 (modern Sìchuān). Famous as the author of the verse-cycle Sòng-gǔ bǎi-zé 頌古百則 — the hundred-koan verse collection later incorporated into the Bìyán-lù 碧巖錄 (the Blue Cliff Record) by Yuánwù Kèqín 圜悟克勤. The Xuědòu lineage of Yúnmén descendants includes 大隱 Dàyǐn (compiler of the Dà bōrě jīng guānfǎ, KR6c0227) as a fourth-generation descendant via Běnjué Shǒuyī 本覺守一.
