Yáng Jǐngfēng 楊景風 (fl. mid-8th c.) — Tang lay disciple of 不空 Amoghavajra. In Guǎng-dé 2 (764 CE) he edited and supplied extensive interlinear commentary on Amoghavajra’s translation of the Xiùyào jīng 宿曜經 (KR6j0530, T21n1299), reorganising and clarifying the difficult first draft prepared by an earlier disciple 史瑤 Shǐ Yáo. His Iranian / Sogdian transliterations of the seven-day planetary week names are the principal Chinese textual evidence for the eastward transmission of the Hellenistic-Iranian planetary week.
