Zhèngchuán 正傳, zì Huànyǒu 幻有 (“Illusory Existence”); often referred to as Lóngchí Huànyǒu 龍池幻有 or Yǔmén Huànyǒu 禹門幻有 from his abbacies; alternative hào Yuántōng 圓通, Yīxīn 一心. The pivotal LínjìYángqí lineage-restorer of the late Míng — the master from whom the entire Mìyún → Línyě / Tiānyǐn / Wànrú late-Míng-early-Qīng establishment descends. Born 1549 (estimated); died 明萬曆甲寅二月十二日 = 1614-03-21, age 66. Native of Lìyáng 溧陽 (Jiāngsū).
Lineage centrality. Fǎshī of the entire Mìyún Yuánwù → LínjìYángqí post-1614 establishment: his three principal fǎsì (the 三大 sāndà) were Mìyún Yuánwù 密雲圓悟 (1566–1642), Tiānyǐn Yuánxiū 天隱圓修 (1575–1635), and Xuějiāo Yuánxìn 雪嶖圓信 (1571–1647) — three of the most influential Línjì lineage-builders of the MíngQīng transition.
Abbacies. Lìyáng Lóngchí Yǔménshān 溧陽龍池禹門山 (the principal seat — gives him both his Lóngchí and Yǔmén sobriquets).
Work. KR6q0601 《幻有傳禪師語錄》 10 juan, J40 (also Qiánlóng Edition Vol. 153 No. 1637, the catalog citation), compiled jointly by his three principal fǎsì — Yuánwù 圓悟 (Mìyún) + Yuánxiū 圓修 (Tiānyǐn) — děng biān. The compilation by Mìyún Yuánwù makes this yǔlù the foundational text of the entire late-Míng LínjìYángqí revival. The recorded materials include Nánlù (southern records) and Běilù (northern records) plus his late-life Xiántán 閒談 (“idle conversations”) and Wǎnhuà 晚話 (“evening talks”) and his deathbed mòhòu jì bìng yǔ 末後偈并語.
