Jìngchī 淨癡

Mid-seventeenth-century Cáodòng Chán monk of the 淨-generation. Shūjì 書記 (scribe) and head recorder ( 錄) of KR6q0412 《象田即念禪師語錄》 (Jiāxīng Canon J27 B191). Junior dharma-brother or dharma-son of Jíniàn Jìngxiàn at the Sìmíng Xiàngtián 四明象田 seat. The shared 淨 generation-character with the master (rather than a subordinate 寂 or 本) suggests Jìngchī is a co-generation dharma-brother rather than a direct dharma-heir — a datum consistent with Xiàngtián’s hermitage-like institutional character, where compilation duties could be held by junior dharma-brothers without strict abbot / heir hierarchy.

Native place, lay surname, and lifedates unrecovered. No independent works survive under his name.
