Zǔqián 祖灊
Late-Yuán Chán shīzhí bǐqiū 師姪比丘 (nephew-disciple) of 清欲 Liǎoān Qīngyù (1292–1367); co-editor (with 海壽) of juan 9 (tíbá 題䟦 + biographical apparatus) of Qīngyù’s yǔlù (KR6q0347). Per Sòng Lián’s Xíngdàojì, when Qīngyù’s Língyán residence was destroyed in the mid-Zhìzhèng wars and the master had nowhere to stay, Zǔqián built for him the Cíyún stupa-hermitage 慈雲塔院 three lǐ north of Zuìlǐ 欈李 pavilion in Jiāxīng; upon Qīngyù’s death in 1367 Zǔqián oversaw the sealing of the master’s relic-box. He was close also to the neighbouring Chǔshí Fànqí 楚石梵琦 circle (as editor of Fànqí’s yǔlù, X71 no. 1420) and to the Wénkāng line. Lifedates unrecorded.
