Chéng Yǐníng 程以甯 (also written 程以寧), hào Fùguīzǐ 復圭子 (“Master Returning to Jade-Tablet”), an early-Qīng Daoist exegete active c. late Kāngxī era (fl. 1670–1720). His best-attested work is the Tài shàng dào dé bǎo zhāng yì 太上道德寶章翼 (KR5i0006) — a paragraph-by-paragraph supplementary commentary (“wings”) to Bái Yùchán’s Sòng Dào dé bǎo zhāng — which he constructed by cross-stitching glosses from Bái Yùchán, Lǐ Dàochún 李道純 (李道純, 淸菴), the planchette-deity 玄同子, and other SòngYuán inner-alchemical commentators with his own paraphrases. He is also credited with a Nán huá zhēn jīng zhù shū 南華真經注疏 (cf. KR5i0036) elaborating the Guō Xiàng / Chéng Xuányīng tradition. Chéng’s signature line 復圭子曰 identifies his interpolations in the Bǎozhāng yì; his work circulated only in Dào zàng jí yào and was not part of the Zhèngtǒng Dàozàng. Lifedates inferred from his appearance in DZJY editorial layers and absence from earlier Daoist canons; CBDB has no matching record.
