義通

Yìtōng (寶雲義通 Bǎoyún Yìtōng, 927–988) was the abbot of Bǎoyúnsì 寶雲寺 (Níngbō / Sìmíng) and a major figure of the early Northern-Sòng Tiāntái revival. He was the teacher under whom 知禮 Sìmíng Zhīlǐ received his Tiāntái formation; the Bǎoyúnsì lineage that he headed is documented in 宗曉 Zōngxiǎo’s Bǎoyún zhènzǔ jí (KR6d0222).
