Wénrén Màodé 聞人茂德
Early-Southern-Sòng Confucian of Jiāxīng 嘉興 (modern Zhèjiāng), counted among the circle of 李侗 Lǐ Tóng’s students. Together with 喻樗 Yù Chū, the principal teacher of 程迥 Chéng Jiǒng (jìnshì 1163), the Yì-divinatory scholar through whom 朱熹 Zhū Xī inherited a strand of the formative-Sòng Yì-tradition (see Zhōuyì gǔ zhàn fǎ 周易古占法, KR1a0030). His own writings have not survived; he is documented chiefly in the Sòngshǐ Rúlín zhuàn notice of Chéng Jiǒng and in the Sìkù tíyào on Zhōuyì gǔ zhàn fǎ. Lifedates not on record.
