Gě Shèngzhòng 葛勝仲 (1072–1144), Lǔqīng 魯卿, of Dānyáng 丹陽 (Chángzhōu, Jiāngsū). Jìnshì of Shàoshèng 4 / 1097; further passed the xuéguān shì and the cíkē — both first-place. Held office to Huáwéngé dàizhì, Zhī Húzhōu. Shàoxīng 1 / 1131 retired to Tíjǔ Tàipíngguān; died Shàoxīng 14 / 1144. Posthumously canonised Wénkāng 文康. Biography: Sòng shǐ j. 445 (Wényuán). Author of Dānyáng jí 丹陽集 KR4d0143 originally in 80 juǎn + wàijí 20 (per his son-in-law Zhāng Zòng’s xíngzhuàng); Sìkù reconstruction is 24 juǎn. Praised for vigorous remonstrance: refused Shèng Zhāng 盛章’s solicitation; refused Lǐ Yàn 李彥’s tax-extortion; refused Zhū Miǎn 朱勔’s request for white-sparrow / mandarin-duck tribute. Defended Húzhōu against rebels in his second prefectural tenure. Composed three discourses (lùn rén, lùn xiào, lùn xué) for the imperial heir; wrote 300-juǎn continuation of Ōuyáng Xiū’s Tàicháng yīngé lǐ.
