Late thirteenth-century Quánzhēn 全真 Daoist of Wéiyáng 維揚 (Yángzhōu 揚州), Sǔn’ān 損菴, hào Yíngchánzǐ 瑩蟾子 (a hào he shared with his teacher). Disciple of Lǐ Dàochún (d. 1306) at the Hermitage of Central Harmony (Zhōnghé jīngshè 中和精舍) in Nánjīng 南京. After Lǐ’s teaching had grown dispersed in fragmentary manuscripts, Cài Zhìyí gathered them together and edited them into the [[KR5a0250|Zhōnghé jí 中和集]] (DZ 249), the principal collection of Lǐ Dàochún’s nèidān 內丹 sermons, dialogues, 詞 lyrics, regular and irregular verse, and short prose treatises. The work was carried by Cài to Dù Dàojiān 杜道堅 (1237–1318) at Qiántáng 錢塘 (Hángzhōu) in 1306 (the bǐngwǔ year of Dàdé 大德) and printed there with Dù’s preface. No CBDB record found; lifedates not recoverable from the surviving record.
