Jiǎng Yàn 蔣焱 (Daoist name Chōngyī 冲一), younger son of Jiǎng Shūyú 蔣叔輿 and joint signatory, with his elder brother Jiǎng Xī 蔣焈 (Daoist name Chōngsù 冲素), of the colophon to the Wúshàng huánglù dàzhāi lìchéng yí KR5b0211 (DZ 508), dated 嘉定癸未 (= 1223). The brothers describe themselves as bùxiào gū 不孝孤 (“unfilial orphans”), indicating that their father had recently died; both bear Daoist names following the Zhèngyī lineage of their father and grandmaster (Liú Yòngguāng 留用光). No independent records of Jiǎng Yàn have been located; not in CBDB.
