Sū Tiānjué 蘇天爵 (1294–1352), Bóxiū 伯修, hào Zīxī xiānsheng 滋溪先生, was a major late-Yuán official, historian and Lǐxué-aligned classicist. Native of Zhēndìng 真定 (Héběi). Jǔrén of Tàidìng 1 (1324). Held a sequence of senior posts under late Yuán: Hànlín shìjiǎng xuéshì, Cānzhī zhèngshì of JiāngZhè, Cānzhèng of JiāngZhè (twice — Zhìzhèng 7 / 1347 and Zhìzhèng 12 / 1352). Major works: the Yuán cháo míngchén shì lüè 元朝名臣事略 (15 juan, the principal Yuán-period biographical compendium); the Wénlèi 文類 (70 juan, anthology of Yuán-period prose); the Sōngtīng zhāngshū 松廳章疏 (5 juan, his memorials); the Chūnfēngtíng bǐjì 春風亭筆記 (2 juan); and the Zhìshì guī jiàn 治世龜鑑 (KR3a0074, the present work).
