Wèi Shěn 衛沈

Eastern-Hàn (legendary?) paediatrician; conventionally identified by Sòng-Qīng bibliographers as the original author / transmitter of the early paediatric canon Lúxìn jīng 顱顖經 (KR3ej023), said by 柯逢時 Kē Féngshí’s 1910 collation note to Xiǎo’ér wèishēng zǒngwēi lùnfāng (KR3ej017) to have “originated” the work, which was then brought to completion by 錢乙 Qián Zhòngyáng of the Sòng. Historicity uncertain; some modern philologists treat the attribution as legendary.
