Tán Qiào 譚峭 (fl. mid-10th century), zì Jǐng shēng 景升, styled Zǐ xiāo zhēn rén 紫霄真人, was a Five-Dynasties Daoist philosopher of Quán zhōu 泉州 (Fú jiàn). Author of the Huà shū 化書 (KR5d0067, “Book of Transformations”) — a foundational work of Chinese speculative philosophy in six sections (化 Transformation, 術 Art, 德 Virtue, 仁 Humaneness, 食 Food, 儉 Frugality), synthesizing Daoist metaphysics with social critique. A major influence on later Daoist and Neo-Confucian thought. (The catalog meta renders the surname as 覃; the standard form is 譚.)
