Chāoxiù 超秀
Mid-late seventeenth-century Línjì Chán monk, dharma-heir of Èryǐn Xíngmì 二隱行謐 (c. 1606–1665) in the Mìyún → Línyě line. Co-compiler (děng biān 等編) of KR6q0430 《二隱謐禪師語錄》 (Jiāxīng Canon J28 B212) alongside 超巨 Chāojù. Based at Húguǎng Jīngzhōu Jiānglíng Shuǐyuè Chányuàn 湖廣荊州江陵水月禪院 — the Jīngnán residence of Zhīyán chánshī 芝巖禪師 who brought Xíngmì’s manuscript to the Manchu prince Chání 察尼 for the 1678 cutting-patronage.
The 超-generation character is standard for the 34th-generation Línjì tier. Native place, lay surname, and lifedates unrecovered.
