Dàohán 道含, a monk of the Later Qín 後秦 (the “Qín state” of 僧肇 Sēngzhào’s preface), served as scribe (筆受 bǐshòu) for the translation of the Cháng Āhán jīng 長阿含經 (KR6a0001) at Cháng’ān in Hóngshǐ 弘始 15 (413). The preface records him under his clerical style 道士 (then used loosely for a Buddhist religious professional) and credits him with the immediate Chinese drafting of the rendering produced by 佛陀耶舍 Buddhayaśas and 竺佛念 Zhú Fóniàn. No independent biography survives.
