Dàoyù 道育

Dàoyù 道育, early-6th-century Chinese monk, named alongside Huìkě in Tánlín 曇琳’s preface to the Èrrù sìxíng lùn KR6q0112 as one of the two principal disciples of Bodhidharma. Practically nothing else is known of him; in later tradition Dàoyù is overshadowed by Huìkě as the recognised second patriarch.
