Xíng Shào 邢邵 (496–ca. 564 CE), styled Zǐcái 子才, was a literary official of the Eastern Wèi 東魏 and Northern Qí 北齊 dynasties, born in Hénán Wēnxiàn 河南溫縣. He is traditionally ranked alongside Wèi Shōu 魏收 as one of the two greatest writers of the Northern Qí era. He served in high office including 侍中 (Palace Attendant) and 國子祭酒 (Libationer of the Directorate of Education), and was entrusted with drafting many of the most important official documents of the Northern Qí court, including imperial edicts and the memorial deliberating the posthumous title of the founding emperor Wénxuān 文宣帝. His verse, preserved in the encyclopedic anthologies and Shījì (fascicle 110), includes courtly occasional poetry and yuèfǔ imitations. His literary exchange poem with Wèi Shōu, 〈冬夜酬魏少傅直史館〉, is cited in the Wényuàn yīnghuá under the explicit attribution “北齊邢子才詩.” His biography is recorded in Běiqíshū 北齊書 36 and Běishǐ 北史 43. His reconstructed collected works are preserved in the Kanripo corpus as KR4b0074.
