Zhèng Yuányòu 鄭元祐 (1292–1364), zì Míngdé 明德, hào Suìchāng shānrén 遂昌山人. Family origin Suìchāng 遂昌 (Chǔzhōu, Zhèjiāng); relocated to Qiántáng 錢塘 (Hángzhōu) and from there liúyù (in transit-residence) at Píngjiāng (= Sūzhōu) for 40 years — hence the collection title QiáoWú jí “Sojourning in Wú.” Authored Suìchāng zálù. Recommended late in life; in Zhì-zhèng-era twice held xiàoguān (school-officer) posts; the post-collation xíngzhuàng by Sū Dànián 蘇大年 (and Lú Xióng’s 盧熊 Sūzhōu fǔzhì) state he was only ever a xiàoguān and did not hold other posts; yet the collection contains a Zhāng Décháng shū with the line “pú zàn jùn wúbǔ — cháng yí Léilǐ zhī yǔ” — possibly Zhèng composing for someone else and forgetting to flag the attribution. The collection KR4d0545 QiáoWú jí survives in the Míng Zhāng Xí 張習 zhòngdìng 1496 bǐngchén recension — Zhèng’s original was longer, in Suìchāng shānrén jí and QiáoWú jí with much overlap; Zhāng combined and selected only the “精純者” (essence-pure) as the present 12-juǎn version.
