Yīn Chángshēng 陰長生 was a legendary Eastern-Hàn alchemical xiān 仙 (immortal), traditionally the disciple of Mǎ Míngshēng 馬鳴生 from whom he received the Tài qīng 太清 alchemical scriptures. His hagiography appears in Gě Hóng’s Shén xiān zhuàn 神仙傳 (biographies of the immortals), and he is the nominal author of the second juàn of KR5c0278 Tài qīng jīn yè shén dān jīng. The attribution is pseudepigraphic — a standard Six-Dynasties legitimizing device.
