Tài qīng jīn yè shén dān jīng 太清金液神丹經

Great-Clarity Scripture of the Divine Gold-Liquor Elixir

pseudepigraphically attributed to 張道陵 (juàn 1), 陰長生 (juàn 2), and 葛洪 (juàn 3)

A Six-Dynasties Tài qīng 太清 alchemical scripture in three juàn on the gold-liquor divine elixir (jīn yè shén dān 金液神丹) — one of the supreme elixirs in the classical wài dān 外丹 (external-alchemy) tradition. Attribution of each juan to a different founding alchemist-patriarch is a standard Six-Dynasties legitimizing device; the text itself was compiled within the Tài qīng scripture corpus studied and defended by Gě Hóng in his Bào pǔ zǐ. Preserved as DZ 880 / CT 880 (Dòngshén bù, Zhòng shù lèi 洞神部眾術類).

Dating. Six Dynasties. Dynasty: 六朝.
