Chén Bǐngyuán 陳秉元 (fl. late 18th c. 清), late-Qiánlóng literatus of the Qīngdàoqiáo 清道橋 area in the prefectural city. Custodian of an early manuscript of the Xiāoshān Zhúlínsì gynecological corpus surreptitiously copied by his grandfather from the monastery and held privately in his cabinet — the source-text from which the Nǚkē mìyào 女科秘要 (KR3ei020) was further copied and disseminated. Named in the first preface to that work.
