Chén Yì 陳鎰 (Yuán, fl. mid-14th c.), Bózhū 伯銖, hào Wǔxī 午溪 (from the Wǔxī stream beside which he built his retirement house, whence the Wǔxī jí KR4d0536 title). Native of Lìshuǐ 麗水 (Chǔzhōu, Zhèjiāng). Once Sōngyáng jiàoshòu. Studied verse from his maternal-uncle Zhōu Héng 周衡; later from Zhāng Zhù 張翥 (see Sūn Yán 孫炎’s preface). Edited by Qǔfù Kǒng Yáng 孔暘 (qiánjìnshì); collated by Liú Jī 劉基 of Qīngtián (also qiánjìnshì). The LiúJī letter at the head of the collection — recommending that Chén drop “jìnrì yìngchóu zhī zuò” — is one of the few extant LiúJī editorial letters. The catalog meta gives no lifedates; the fl. mid-14th-c. is inferred from Zhāng Zhù zìjiào and Liú Jī jiàozhèng dates.
