Zhāng Zhù 張翥 (1287–1368), Zhòngjǔ 仲舉, hào Tuìān 蛻菴 (also Tuìyán 蛻巖). Native of Jìnníng 晉寧 (Hédōng). Early-Zhì-yuán-era recommended as yǐnyì (recluse), summoned as Guózǐ zhùjiào; assigned to Shàngdū teaching; soon retired to Huáidōng. With the SòngLiáoJīn history compilation, called back as Hànlín Guóshǐyuàn biānxiūguān; rose successively to Hànlín xuéshì chéngzhǐ; retired; promoted Hénán xíngshěng píngzhāng zhèngshì with life-stipend; career in Yuánshǐ. Note: a different JīnMíngchāng / Chéng-ān-era figure also called Zhāng Zhù 張翥 Zhòngyáng 仲揚 (Liú Qí 劉祁’s Guīqián zhì) — must be distinguished. -master Zhōu Bóqí; shī-method from Qiú Yuǎn 仇遠 — got the yīnlǜ zhī ào; jìntǐ chángduǎnjù especially praised. Studied xué under Lǐ Cún 李存 — receiving the Lù Jiǔyuān transmission. Disciple Láifù 來復 and Zōnglè 宗泐 (both monks) preserved his collected works after his death; the surviving recension is from a Hóngwǔ 3 (1370) Xīshān Láng Chéngrén hand-copy; Búyízūnshēng 朱彝尊 collation discovered Shì Dàshū 釋大杼 hand-copy in early Míng. Wáng Shìzhēn: “*Tuìān is the great-master of late Yuán; both old and new verse have fǎdù; not to speak of [Zhào] Zǐáng and [Wáng] Bóyōng — even Fàn Déjī 范梈 and Jiē Mànshuò 揭傒斯, the bózhòng (rank) is uncertain.”
