Lù Xīnyuán 陸心源 ( Gāngfǔ 剛甫, hào Cúnzhāi 存齋, library-name BìSònglóu 㠦宋樓 “Pavilion-of-Hoarding-Sòng-Editions”, 1834–1894), the great late-Qīng book-collector of Guīān 歸安 (Húzhōu, Zhèjiāng). Jìnshì 1862, served in various provincial posts before retiring to his collection. His BìSònglóu was the largest private library of late-Qīng China, holding more than 150,000 juǎn of rare Sòng and Yuán editions; the entire collection was sold to the Iwasaki family of Japan in 1907 (his son Lù Chún 陸樹聲’s reluctant sale during the post-1900 financial difficulties) and forms the founding core of the Seikadō Bunko 静嘉堂文庫 in Tōkyō. Lù was also a major kǎozhèng textual scholar, with substantial works including the Sòng shǐ yì 宋史翼 and the Yíshū lù 儀顧錄. He was an early supporter of 莫枚士 Mò Méishì’s medical-philological project, contributing the 1871 preface to KR3eq014 Yánjīng yán. Not in CBDB.
