Hán Chún 韓醇

Zhòngsháo 仲韶. Native of Línqióng 臨邛 (modern Qiónglái 邛崍 in Sìchuān). Sòng-period scholar; floruit ca. 1170–1180 by internal evidence. Per the Sìkù tíyào of KR4c0048, “his beginning and end are unknown” — no biographical data has come down. Not to be confused with Hán Yù 韓郁 (a Dàyú chéng 大庾丞, related to Hán Yù 韓愈 by the same surname; Hán Yù 韓郁 produced an annotated edition of Liǔ Zōngyuán 柳宗元 mentioned in the Sòng catalogs).

His principal scholarly contribution is the gǔxùn 詁訓 (gloss-and-explanation) annotation of the Liǔ Zōngyuán 柳宗元 collection — the Gǔxùn Liǔ xiānshēng wénjí / Liǔ Hédōng jí KR4c0048 in 45 juǎn, the foundational Sòng annotated edition of the corpus. The Sòng catalogs also record a parallel Hán Chánglí jí jiàozhèng 韓昌黎集校正 by him (an annotated edition of Hán Yù 韓愈), suggesting a pairing of HánLiǔ commentary work in the broader Sòng fùgǔ commemorative scholarship of the Lóngxìng / Qiándào generation.
