Dú Zhū suí bǐ 讀朱隨筆

Random Notes on Reading Zhū-zǐ by 陸隴其 (Lù Lǒngqí, hào Sānyú 三魚, 1630–1692, 清)

About the work

A 4-juan biji of Lù Lǒngqí’s notes on reading Zhū Xī’s writings — methodologically a Mid-Qīng equivalent of Hú Jūrén’s Jū yè lù (KR3a0081) but focused specifically on ZhūXī reading. Lù was the foundational early-Qīng Zhū-Xī-purist; this work documents his close reading of Zhū’s corpus item-by-item. Composition window: bracketed by Lù’s working life (post-1670 jìnshì) through to his 1692 death. The frontmatter brackets to ca. 1670–1692.

Abstract

The Dú Zhū suí bǐ is Lù Lǒngqí’s principal close-reading record of Zhū Xī. The substantive position is uniformly Zhū-Xī-loyalist, with sharp critique of any drift toward LùWáng xīnxué.

The bibliographic record: SKQS Zǐbù — Rújiā lèi.
