Shàoshì fāngàn 邵氏方案
Prescriptions and Cases of the Shào Family Anonymous compiler (Shào-family physician).
About the work
A single-juǎn late-Qīng casebook of an unnamed member of the Shào 邵 medical family, transmitted without preface in the 漢學文典 source. The cases are arranged in Lǐ 禮 / Yuè 樂 (and presumably Shè 射 / Yù 御) sub-sections following the liùyì 六藝 ordering — a literary studio-organisation. The first section opens with 虛勞 (consumptive depletion) and proceeds through 表虛 (surface-deficiency / spontaneous sweating).
Prefaces
No transmitted preface in the 漢學文典 source. The _000.txt is absent; the text opens directly into the case-material as 卷之禮一、虛勞.
Abstract
The Shào 邵 surname is associated with several late-Qīng medical families in Jiāngnán; the fāngàn in this compilation cannot be confidently attributed without additional internal evidence. The clinical signature — light Yùpíngfēng (Jade-Screen) for surface-deficiency, Gùběn tāng (Fortify-the-Root decoction) for Sānyīn jiāokuī (triple-yin co-deficiency), and graded use of yángshēn / ējiāo / chuānbèimǔ / bǎihé for consumptive qiè 怯 — places the text within the late-Qīng Yè-school xūláo (consumptive depletion) treatment tradition. Decimal-precise dosing in qián and fēn and the unusual presence of Xiyángshēn / Lìshēn (Western and Korean ginsengs) as alternatives suggest a late-Qīng to early-Republican composition window in a JiāngZhè urban context.
There are at least three other “Shào” casebooks in the KR3ep series — KR3ep004 Shào Lánsūn yīàn, KR3ep034 Shàoshì yīàn (Shào Lánshēng), KR3ep057 (the present text) — none of which appears to be by the same individual. The present text is most likely from the Shào family of Shàoxīng 紹興 / Húzhōu 湖州 medical lineage, but cannot be securely attributed.
