The Dìngzhèng Zhòngjǐng quánshū Shānghánlùn zhù 訂正仲景全書傷寒論註 is the opening section (17 juàn) of the Qīng imperial-commission medical compendium Yīzōng jīnjiàn (KR3e0090 / KR3eu016) — the imperially-authorised corrected commentary on Zhāng Zhòngjǐng’s foundational Shānghán lùn 傷寒論. The work systematises the late-Míng / early-Qīng revisionist (cuòjiǎn chóngdìng 錯簡重訂) school’s textual reorganisation of the Shānghán lùn — initiated by 方有執 Fāng Yǒuzhí’s Shānghán lùn tiáo biàn 傷寒論條辨 (1592–1593) and developed by 喻昌 Yú Chāng’s Shànglùn piān 尚論篇 (1648), 張璐 Zhāng Lù’s Shānghán zǒnglùn and 尤怡 Yóu Yí’s commentaries — into the imperially-sanctioned Qīng standard reading.
Abstract
The Sìkù tíyào of KR3e0090 explains the imperial editors’ rationale: that the Shānghán lùn has been disordered by various physicians “almost like the disputed-emended-text Dàxué — the more emendations, the more obscured the meaning. We criticise the doctrine for being too disordered. … Therefore we first correct the two books, removing errors and supplementing lacunae, to set the standard for symptom-and-treatment.” The 17-juàn commentary thus carries an apparatus of zhèngwén (corrected text), zhù (commentary), àn (editorial remarks) and selected prescription explanations. The text-order follows the revisionist cuòjiǎn chóngdìng line: the biànmàifǎ 辨脈法 and píngmàifǎ 平脈法 are placed after the six-channel chapters as appendices rather than as the opening matter of the received Sòng arrangement, and the Shānghán lì 傷寒例 is critically pruned. The work thus codifies the Chángshā fùgǔ 長沙復古 school’s textual programme as the Qīng official orthodoxy for Shānghán learning.
