First of three liturgies transmitted under the rubric 三儀同卷軆九 (“three liturgies in one fascicle, 9”; titles announced on f. 1a: 金籙十迴度人早朝開收儀 / 午朝開收儀 / 晚朝開收儀 = KR5b0186, KR5b0187, KR5b0188). The shíhuí dùrén 十迴度人 framework — ten huí 迴 (“turns” or rotations) of the salvific power of the Dùrén jīng (KR5c0010), each directed to one of the ten cosmic regions — provides the structuring schema. The kāishōu yí 開收儀 is the “opening and closing” rite: the kāijīng wén 開經文 introduces and the shōujīng 收經 retires each successive huí of the recitation.

Abstract

The text proceeds, in the morning audience, through huí 1–4 (per the closing rubric … 一迴至第四迴 in the parallel zhuǎnjīng rite KR5b0189). Each huí is bracketed by a kāijīng (opening of the scripture) and shōujīng (closing) formula, with intervening hymns (Sùmìng zàn 宿命讚 in the source, on f. 1b), reverences (shífāng dàobǎo 十方道寳, xìnlǐ 信禮), and huíxiàng 迴向 dedications.

The shíhuí dùrén framework is a SòngYuán liturgical innovation; Schipper & Verellen (Taoist Canon 2: 996–997, John Lagerwey) place the kāishōu (DZ 496) and zhuǎnjīng (DZ 497) sets together as paired services for the morning-noon-evening recitation cycle of the Jīnlù, with the kāishōu providing the introductory frame and the zhuǎnjīng providing the actual recitation. Their juxtaposition in DZ 496–497, with paired structure ( 9 / 10), confirms the design.
