About the work
First of three rites transmitted under 三儀同卷軆十 (“three liturgies in one fascicle, Tǐ 10”): 金籙十迴度人早朝轉經儀 / 午朝轉經儀 / 晚朝轉經儀 (KR5b0189, KR5b0190, KR5b0191). Where the kāishōu set (KR5b0186–KR5b0188) provides the framing rubrics, the present zhuǎnjīng set provides the actual recitation of the Dùrén jīng (KR5c0010) in its ten huí.
Abstract
The internal rubric on f. 1b is explicit: 入意以今引領官衆升壇轉誦太上洞玄靈寶无量度人上品妙經第一迴至第四迴 — the celebrant declares the intent and leads the assembled officers up onto the altar to “turn-recite” huí 1–4 of the Wúliàng Dùrén shàngpǐn miào jīng. The recitation is dedicated to the longevity of the imperial patron (祝延 萬壽保天長存). Schipper & Verellen (Taoist Canon 2: 996–997, John Lagerwey) treat the zhuǎnjīng triad together with the kāishōu triad as the recitation-phase of the Jīnlù developed in the SòngYuán period, with the Dùrén jīng as the soteriological core. The lineage of teachers invoked at the head of the rite — 靈寳玄中大法師 / 靈寳經師 / 籍師 / 度師 / 正一天師 / 女師 / 嗣師 / 系師 — is the standard Sòng Língbǎo transmission line, marking the rite as a product of the Sòng Língbǎo synthesis.
