Dé jīng yì tóng zì 德經異同字

Same-and-Different Characters in the Dé Scripture (concordance of textual variants)

Anonymous; no source text files available

The companion volume to [[KR5c0083|Dào jīng yì tóng zì 道經異同字]] — a catalog entry for what appears to be a Daozang concordance of textual variants in the Dé jīng (the lower half of the Dàodé jīng, chs. 38–81). Like the parallel KR5c0083, only a Readme.org title-stub is preserved in the Kanseki Repository; no source text files are available locally, and the work is not separately identified in Schipper & Verellen’s Taoist Canon (2004) under this title.

About the work

The Kanripo catalog meta gives only the title 德經異同字 and catalogs it as SJB and ZHDZ. No author, date, or dynasty is recorded. The work is the evident counterpart to KR5c0083 ([[KR5c0083|Dào jīng yì tóng zì]]), extending the variant-concordance from the Dào piān 道篇 (chs. 1–37) to the Dé piān 德篇 (chs. 38–81). Together the two titles form a two-part philological concordance of textual variants across the whole 81-chapter Dàodé jīng.

Abstract

Insufficient source material. See notes at KR5c0083 for the parent work. Like the companion Dào jīng yì tóng zì, the Dé jīng yì tóng zì appears to belong to the Daozang philological-variant genre alongside the variant-lists of DZ 697 (KR5c0082) and DZ 708 Dàodé zhēn jīng jí zhù shì wén. Direct consultation of the work was not possible; without the source, the entry is a placeholder for a text that may warrant future investigation.
