About the work
Shī Jiānwú was one of the significant mid-Táng Daoist poet-practitioners, jìnshì of 820 who retreated to a Daoist life after his official career and composed poetry and yǎng shēng texts. His collected works include Xī shèng jí 希聖集 — preserving much of his Daoist-themed poetry.
