The Outer Chapters of the Bào pǔ zǐ — Gě Hóng’s socio-political-philosophical companion to the Inner Chapters KR5f0019, in 50 juàn. Where the Inner Chapters argue for immortality practices, the Outer Chapters engage with Confucian social-moral discourse: ruler-subject relations, scholarship, literature, honesty, friendship. Preserved as DZ 1187 / CT 1187 (Tài qīng bù 太清部).
