Annotated Exposition of the Most-High Limitless Great-Way’s Thirty-Six Honoured Scriptures
planchette-attributed to 孚佑帝君 (Fúyòu dìjūn = 呂洞賓); the Kanripo source preserves only juàn 6–7 (下卷上 and 下卷下), the earlier juàn missing
A planchette-revealed running commentary on the canonical 36 scriptures of the Daoist liturgical recitation-set (cf. KR5i0107 for the petition-programme), structured in 12 Tài qīng (Pure-Greatest) scriptures, 12 Shàng qīng (Pure-Highest) scriptures, and 12 Yù qīng (Pure-Jade) scriptures — the standard Daoist Sān qīng triple of 36 = 12 × 3 canonical scriptures. The Kanripo source preserves the xià juàn shàng and xià juàn xià (“lower-volume upper” and “lower-volume lower”) portions only, beginning with the Tài qīng jīng dì yī of the Tàiqīng tier — i.e., only the xià juàn (lower volume) of the work has been digitised; the upper volumes (covering the Yù qīng and Shàng qīng tiers) are not present in this Kanripo recension.
Prefaces
No external preface; the text opens directly with the zhì xīn guī mìng lǐ (with-utmost-heart taking-refuge-and-returning-the-mandate ritual-text): “Tài qīng xiān jìng, dà chì tiān gōng (Pure-Great Immortal Realm, Greatly-Red Heavenly Palace), towering golden-portal’s loftiness, tinily distant repeated-zenith’s high. Born in countless-numbered kalpas, expounding the dharma in twelve-thousand heavens. Five-thousand secret words, fusing the Three-Powers’ wonderful Way; eighty-some transformations, receiving the Six Paths’ multiple beings. Holy-virtue lofty-and-high, mystery-merit broad-and-vast. Great compassion, great vow, great holiness, great mercy. Limitless deliverance of men. Born-and-descending Heavenly Worthy.”
Abstract
A planchette-revealed multi-juàn commentary on the canonical 36-scripture liturgical canon, attributed to Lǚzǔ. The Kanripo source is incomplete — only the lower volume’s two sub-juàn are present, indicating that the full work (in 6 juàn or possibly 12) has not been digitised. The text is CK-EX in source-Witness, part of the post-1809 DZJY supplement. Composition c. 1700–1906.
