Abstract

T208 is Dàoluè’s larger pìyù compilation, the companion of T207 and translated by Kumārajīva. The signature explicitly names both functions: Dàoluè as compiler ( 集), Kumārajīva as translator ( 譯). The work likely represents Dàoluè’s editorial selection from Kumārajīva’s wider avadāna / pìyù translation output, drawing on multiple source sūtras (the title’s 眾經 = “many sūtras”). The bracket 405–412 corresponds to Kumārajīva’s most productive Cháng’ān period.
