Dàoluè 道略 (lifedates unknown; fl. late fourth / early fifth century), Buddhist bhikṣu (the canonical signatures invariably read 比丘道略) of the Latter-Qín 姚秦 period, working at Cháng’ān in the translation circle of Kumārajīva 鳩摩羅什. According to the Chū sānzàng jì jí 出三藏記集, Dàoluè was responsible for compiling (集 jí) two surviving pìyù-anthologies from materials translated by Kumārajīva: [[KR6b0064|Zá pìyù jīng 雜譬喻經 (T207)]] and [[KR6b0065|Zhòng-jīng zhuàn-zá pìyù 眾經撰雜譬喻 (T208)]]. The jí function (compiler / editor) distinguishes him from the translator; the underlying narrative-material is attributed to Kumārajīva’s translation programme, with Dàoluè responsible for the editorial selection and arrangement.
Works in the Kanripo corpus: KR6b0064 Zá pìyù jīng (T207); KR6b0065 Zhòngjīng zhuànzá pìyù (T208).
