About the work
The Fóshuō Shùtíjiā jīng (T540a) is the “a” recension of the Jyotiṣka sūtra, translated by Guṇabhadra 求那跋陀羅 (求那跋陀羅). Shùtíjiā 樹提伽 is a phonetic transliteration of Jyotiṣka — a wealthy lay Buddhist disciple. See KR6i0171 (T540b) for the parallel “b” recension.
