About the work
The Fóshuō Shùtíjiā jīng (T540b) is the “b” recension of the Jyotiṣka sūtra (cf. KR6i0170 = T540a). Both are attributed to Guṇabhadra.

Abstract
The “a” and “b” recensions of T540 represent variant Chinese textual transmissions of the same Indic source, both attributed to Guṇabhadra. Their preservation as separate texts in the Taishō reflects pre-Sui canonical instability for this short-text family. Translation dated to Guṇabhadra’s productive period (435–468 CE).
