X355 is a one-fascicle kē 科 (topical outline / structural divisions) of [[KR6i0304|Jīnguāngmíng xuányì 金光明玄義]] (T1783) — that is, a tabular skeleton of Zhìyǐ’s commentary, organising its argument under nested rubrics. The genre serves as a study aid: each major and sub-division of the parent text is laid out as a hierarchical bullet-list. The compiler is identified in the Taishō witness as 雙徑沙門明得排定, “明得 of Mt Shuāngjìng (= Jīngshān 徑山), arranged”.
Abstract
The work is one of 明得’s four ancillary Tiāntái treatises on the Suvarṇaprabhāsa corpus, prepared together with KR6i0312 (Wénjù kē on T1785) and the two huìběn collations KR6i0311 and KR6i0313. The four are explicitly listed in 明得’s DILA biography (A008323) and are paired with his three-year retreat at Língxiāo Peak on Mt Jīngshān and subsequent lecturing at the Chuányīān; the most defensible date bracket follows his mature Tiāntái productive period (c. 1560–1588). The treatise is essentially diagrammatic and adds little doctrinal content of its own, but is invaluable as a finding-aid for T1783 and as documentation of late-Míng Tiāntái pedagogical practice.
