Chéng wéishí lùn zìkǎo 成唯識論自攷
Self-Examined Records on the Demonstration of Consciousness-Only by 大惠 (Dàhuì, 錄)
About the work
A ten-fascicle commentary on KR6n0016 Chéng wéishí lùn by the late-Míng monk 大惠 (Dàhuì), preserved in the Xuzangjing (X51n0823). The “zìkǎo” 自攷 (“self-examined / personally collated”) title and the lù 錄 (“recorded”) attribution together indicate a commentary developed over an extended period of private study and only later released for wider circulation — a common pattern in late-Míng monastic scholarship.

Abstract
The zìkǎo belongs to the late-Míng Yogācāra revival cluster alongside KR6n0043 (Míngyù), KR6n0044 (Tōngrùn), KR6n0045 (Wáng Kěntáng), and KR6n0047 (Zhìxù). Together these works constitute the principal monument of the late-Míng restoration of Cí’ēn doctrinal study, undertaken in the wake of the rediscovery of the canonical Cí’ēn corpus through Japanese Hossō and Korean reception.
The dating bracket adopted (1573–1620) covers the Wànlì era as a whole, since no precise internal dating evidence is available for the work. The text reads as a methodical lemma-by-lemma commentary, drawing principally on Kuījī’s KR6n0026 shùjì but supplementing this with material from Huìzhāo’s KR6n0030 liǎoyì dēng and Zhìzhōu’s KR6n0032 yǎnmì.
