Three-juan yǔlù of Huìjué Zhàoyī 照衣 慧覺照衣 (1605-04-08 – 1673-10-27), LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Pòshān Hǎimíng 海明 (1597–1666). Compiled by fǎsì Chèyù 徹御 děng biān. Printed as Jiāxīng Canon J35 B340. Juan 3 includes the xínglù 行錄 self-biographical record.
Abstract
Authorship. Per the 照衣 note: native of Qíjiāngxiàn 綦江縣 (Yúzhōu, Sìchuān), lay surname Xióng 熊. Late-life ordination at age 30 under Chángbái at Huáyínshān; eight years’ refuge at Yèláng during the 1644 dynastic transition. 1653/9: transmission from Pòshān at Liángshān Jīnchéngsì + Shuāngguìsì.
Dating. notBefore = c. 1655 (post-transmission preaching). notAfter = c. 1675 as a conservative bound for post-1673-decease compilation.
Eight abbacies. All Sì-chuān-region: Chóngqìng Chóngyīnsì → Húshān Zhìpíngsì → Tàigōngshān Shíbǎosì → Jiāngjīn Yuántōngsì → Zhūlín Hóngfúsì → Bāxiàn Bǎoliányuàn — a Sì-chuān-internal frontier-restoration ministry under the Pòshān-line aegis.
Lineage. Pòshān Hǎimíng → Huìjué Zhàoyī → six named heirs including Pòfēng Zhòng 普重 (cf. KR6q0492) and Fóyǔ Chèyù 徹御 (cf. KR6q0487).

Other points of interest
- Late-life monastic conversion at age 30. Like several of his Sìchuān contemporaries (cf. KR6q0464’s Chuán, KR6q0465’s Xíngshěng), Zhàoyī’s late-life ordination was triggered by the 1640s warfare-disruption rather than youthful religious aspiration — making the Pòshān-line Sìchuān population partly composed of mature converts from the late-Míng warfare-collapse generation.
