Other points of interest
The 15-juan extent makes this one of the largest yǔlù in the J39 supplement, on a scale comparable to KR6q0526 (Tiānrán Hánshì) within the broader Cáodòng-school. The 牧麟堂集 literary collection in juan 10 — bracketed within a Buddhist yǔlù — is a notable indicator of late-17th-century Cáodòng monastic literary culture, parallel to the 光宣臺集 of 今無 (cf. KR6q0528) within the Hǎiyún line. Zhìxiáng’s three-abbacy concentration on Húnán (Yúnfēng), Jiāngxī (Yúnyán), and Zhèjiāng (Lónghuá) marks the sustained territorial reach of his teacher Yuánjié Jìngyíng’s eight-abbacy mission.
