Jìxiān 寂暹
Mid-Qīng Buddhist monk; honorific Jùchè shàngzuò 巨澈上座 (“Senior Monk Jùchè”). Lifedates not preserved; floruit early-to-mid Kāngxī period (c. 1670–1700).
His attested work is the Yúqié yànkǒu zhùjí zuǎnyào yíguǐ 瑜伽燄口註集纂要儀軌 (KR6j0757, X59 no. 1084) — a two-fascicle annotated and compiled ritual manual for the yúqié yànkǒu (Yoga food-bestowal-to-flaming-mouths) liturgy. The preface to the work, dated yǐmǎo 乙卯 (most plausibly Kāngxī 14 / 1675), praises Jùchè’s compendium as recovering the original integrity of the ritual that Liánchí dàshī 蓮大師 (Yúnqī Zhūhóng, 1535–1615) had earlier corrected against late-Míng performance corruptions. Per DILA A003253.
The Zuǎnyào belongs to the cluster of Qing-period yànkǒu ritual manuals that responded to the late-Míng / early-Qīng polemical disputes between the Yúnqī Pure Land-aligned tradition (Zhūhóng’s KR6j0753 / KR6j0754) and the Sānfēng Línjì-Chán-aligned tradition (法藏 Hànyuè Fǎzàng’s KR6j0755 / KR6j0756).
