John Dudgeon 德貞 (Dé Zhēn, 1837–1901), Scottish Protestant medical missionary and surgeon of the London Missionary Society, active in Běijīng from 1864; first professor of anatomy and physiology at the Tóngwén guǎn 同文館 (1871–1894). Author of multiple Chinese-language Western-medical translations and the influential Quán tǐ tōng kǎo 全體通考 (anatomy, 1886). Cited by 唐宗海 Táng Zōnghǎi in KR3eh056 alongside 合信 Hobson for mesenteric-inflammation autopsy findings on dysentery.
