Contemporary Chinese specialist of Buddhist manuscripts and printed editions, longtime senior researcher in the rare-book department of the National Library of China (中國國家圖書館). Principal scholar of the Buddhist Dūnhuáng holdings of the National Library and editor of Fójiào dàzàngjīng yánjiū lùnjí 佛教大藏經研究論集 (Beijing: Yànshān, 2007). He served as one of the principal zhěnglǐ 整理 editors of the Zàngwài fójiào wénxiàn series, contributing the present Tiān qǐngwèn jīng shū edition (KR6v0006) along with major studies of the Jīn cáng 金藏 and other tenth- to twelfth-century printed canons.
