Early-Qīng Han-Bannerman (漢軍) literatus and disciple of Wáng Shìzhēn 王士禎. CBDB (personid 83941) gives an index year of 1667; precise birth and death dates are not recorded in the standard biographical sources. The Hànjūn registration is given in the Sìkù edition’s title-page rubric (“漢軍郎廷槐編”). He is known almost exclusively for his compilation of the Shīyǒu shīzhuàn lù 師友詩傳錄, in which he presented questions on poetics to three masters of the Shāndōng Yúyáng circle (Wáng Shìzhēn, Zhāng Dǔqìng 張篤慶 ( Lìyǒu 歷友), and Zhāng Shíjū 張實居 (hào Xiāotíng 蕭亭) — Wáng Shìzhēn’s nephew and brother-in-law respectively) and recorded their answers. He held no recorded office of substance; the work itself is his enduring contribution to Qīng poetic theory.
