Zhù 住 (Yúnsǒu Běnzhù 雲叟本住)
DILA-standardized Běnzhù 本住; hào Yúnsǒu 雲叟 (“Cloud Old-Man”). LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Mùchén Shānwēng Dàomín 道忞 木陳山翁道忞 (1596–1674). Born 1620; died 康熙丙辰 8/10 = 1676-09-17 Gregorian, shìshòu 57. Native of Ānlù 安陸 (Húběi).
Formation. Full precepts at Dàwéishān 大溈山 (the Húnán Wéi-Yǎng-school heartland); studied at Hèlín 鶴林 with initial xǐng; final transmission under Shānwēng Dàomín at Qīngzhōu 青州 (Shāndōng).
Abbacy. Tánzhōu Lóngyásì 潭州龍牙寺 (Húnán) — the historic seat of Tang-era Lóngyá Jūdùn 龍牙居遁. Stūpa not located.
Work. KR6q0481 《雲叟住禪師語錄》 2 juan, Jiāxīng Canon J34 B310, recorded by fǎsì Yuányī 元一. The juan-1 序 is signed by 睿 (Ruì) of Wòlóng 臥龍 — Běnzhù’s dharma-brother under Dàomín — at the request of the publication-organizer Yuǎnān héshàng 遠菴和尚 of Míngzhōu Ruìyán 明州瑞巖 (the same Wǔlěishān region as KR6q0457).
