Yuánkē 員珂 (also written 圓珂; sobriquets Jīngshān 荊山 and Huì-gǔ 晦谷; DILA Authority A000901; Míng dynasty, lifedates not securely recorded — productive period c. 1567–1580) was a Línjì-zhèngzōng 臨濟正宗 bhikṣu of Jīnlíng 金陵 (modern Nánjīng) and a Laṅkāvatāra specialist. He resided at the Jīn-shā-sì 金沙寺 in Pí-líng 毘陵 (modern Chángzhōu) and was a disciple of Yùzhī Jùchán 玉芝聚禪師 (DILA A015217 / 法聚). For more than ten years he taught the Śūraṅgama-sūtra between Tāizhōu 台州 and Wēnzhōu 溫州; he was also recognised as a poet (the Shī-jí in some thousand fascicles is attributed to him by his disciples). In the changeover of Lóngqìng 隆慶 1 (1567) he propagated the dharma at the Fēi-yīng tǎ-yuàn 飛瑛塔院 in Hú-chéng 湖城.
His mature engagement was with the Laṅkāvatāra-sūtra: after extensive comparison of the three Chinese translations he conceived of compiling them into a single triple-translation collation, but did not bring the project to completion in his master’s lifetime. Working subsequently with Lù Sī-kōng Guāng-zǔ 陸司空光祖 (the Wàn-lì period official), he completed the Léngqié ābá-duōluó bǎo jīng huì-yì 楞伽阿跋多羅寶經會譯 (KR6i0336, X8) in Wàn-lì 8 (1580), placing the Sòng (=Liú-Sòng 求那跋陀羅) translation as the principal text and the Wèi (菩提流支) and Tang (實叉難陀) translations as comparanda below. His principal dharma-heir was Jiùyán Tiān-jī 鷲岩天機.
