Zhī Yào 支曜 (DILA Authority A000165) was a “Western Regions” (西域) monk active at Luòyáng under the late Later Hàn. According to the Chū sānzàng jì jí 出三藏記集 (T2145) and the Gāosēng zhuàn 高僧傳 (T2059), he arrived at Luòyáng in Zhōngpíng 中平 2 (185 CE), under Hàn Língdì 靈帝, and won renown in the capital for his scholarship. He is credited with some 10 translations in 11 fascicles, including the Chéngjù guāngmíng dìngyì jīng 成具光明定意經 (T630, an early prajñāpāramitā text), the [[KR6a0046|Ānàlǜ bā-niàn jīng 阿那律八念經]] (T46), the Fó shuō mǎ yǒu bā-tài pìrén jīng 佛說馬有八態譬人經 (T570), the Xiǎo dàodì jīng 小道地經 (T608), and the Wén-chéng shí’èr yīnyuán jīng 聞城十二因緣經. His exact dates of birth and death are unrecorded.
